Calculator key gets used daily
One press opens the calculator, which sounds trivial until you are pricing quotes all afternoon. I use it more than any other shortcut on the board.

Mail key opens the right client
It launches my default mail application rather than a specific one, so it kept working after we switched providers. Small thing done correctly.

Sleep key is too easy to hit
It sits at the end of the function row and I have sent the machine to sleep twice reaching for delete. I disabled it in settings, which solved the problem.

Brightness keys control the monitor
The function row adjusts brightness on an external display without extra software, which I did not expect to work on a desktop.

Volume keys are one press away
No modifier needed. I adjust call volume several times an hour and it has become automatic.
