Backing grips a glass top
The underside holds on a smooth glass desk without sliding. I lifted a corner to check and it took real effort to peel away.

Surface has a consistent glide
The mouse moves with the same resistance across the whole pad, including the edges. No dead spots and no change where the fabric meets the stitched border.

Rolls out flat in a day
It arrived rolled and had a slight curl. Left overnight under a book it lay perfectly flat, and it has not curled again since.

Thick enough to smooth a rough desk
My desk has a slight grain that I could feel through a thin pad. This one takes it out completely, and the mouse no longer catches on the surface underneath.

Stitched edge has not frayed
A year of use and the border is intact all the way around. The previous pad started shedding threads at one corner within three months.
